"I tried something a little more complex this time. That's a 13 x 9 Rubellite in the center. We haven't decided to actually build this yet, as MMM has an alternate design with Peach coloured Sapphire Baguettes in mind. I'll probably create that digitally too, then we'll decide which way to go for real. The dimensionalities of pave'ing multiple curved surfaces in varied planes was torturous to this! Not only how to create, but how to manage! What a learning curve! But that WAS my idea in approaching it! I still don't quite get the art of rendering the image well. This too in time I suppose. "For several years I entertained buying jewelry CAD software for our business. What put me off was the thought of having to travel somewhere in order to learn the software. As a business owner, I simply did not have the time. Additionally, all of the current brands I researched, while very good, seemed to be lacking in a couple of elements that I was looking for; extreme versatility and ease of function (I want my cake and eat it, too). "I speak to him all the time. Please give me videos that I can work with over and over. More than the class. The class is… I get instruction. You're trying to take notes. You're trying to look at your computer. You're trying to look at everything at the same time. It's too much! Ray has a full library, from beginning to the advance classes. One video that I can watch, stop, pause, look at it again and refresh myself. Sometimes, you have a piece you're trying to make for a customer that you need to look at that video again. You need to see the technique that you used in order to make this piece actually finalized. The library that he has, and continues to upgrade all the time, is a resource that I can't live without.
