Firestorm Cad Software comes with:
A Jewelry module with International finger sizes, model mass weight. Stone layout tools for pave on a surface and setting diamonds along a line on surface for stone geometry.
Over 1200 Design Libray Components. Let your customer come in your store and design jewelry by using Firestorm cad jewelry design easy interface Touchscreen.
Stones have tools associated that you can turn on or off when needed as part of the structure of the program. Wherever you place a stone on a surface you can quickly make bezels, prong layout, cutters for stone seats and for underlay cutters for piercing azures. This is not like any builder that you have seen in many plug-ins; a builder has to be applied to your design as a process which, when it comes to altering a saved design, they have limited flexibility. A lot of times how you made the design limits what you can change. Sometimes you are forced to delete that component area or undo it and re-apply the builder to make the changes.

Firestorm CAD is not supported on virtual platforms (see note below). Intel-based Apple hardware running native Windows using Boot Camp is subject to the same hardware requirements as other Intel-based hardware.

Video Card:
Requires Full DirectX® 9c, Shader Model 3.0 hardware support, 64 MB of graphics memory or higher, 32 bits per pixel, 1024x768 minimum resolution. Please ensure that you have the latest graphics driver for your card and that Direct3D Acceleration is enabled (use the 'dxdiag' tool to check this).

The following commonly used video cards support the above requirements (1):

ATI® Radeon R300, R420, R520, R600, or R700 series.
Radeon 9x00 cards (9700, 9800, …) or newer

NVIDIA®:
NVIDIA GeForce® FX, 6, 7, or 8 series. NVIDIA FX5200s or newer

Pentium® 4 2.0 GHZ or Athlon® 2000+ or faster, 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

Minimum: 512MB RAM (32-bit), 1Gb RAM (64-bit)
Recommended: 2GB RAM or higher, 256MB of graphics memory

Note regarding Microsoft® .NET Framework 3.5:
Firestorm CAD requires .NET 3.5, and an installer for .NET 3.5 is included within the Firestorm CAD installer.
It is possible in some cases that a corrupt version of .NET will be detected as the correct version by the Firestorm CAD installer. If this happens, Firestorm CAD will be installed, but will not run properly. This is primarily a concern on Windows XP and Windows Vista, because .NET 3.5 is included in the installation of Windows 7. To remedy this, please manually install .NET 3.5 using Microsoft's web site, Microsoft Update or Windows Update. On some occasions, this may involve cleaning the .NET installation by uninstalling any .NET components and re-installing them all. More details can be found on Microsoft's web site here.

Once the .NET 3.5 installation is successful, the Firestorm CAD installation should proceed normally.

Note on virtual platforms:
Users report successfully operating Firestorm CAD on VMware Workstation 7.x and Player 3.x.
